I am a 21 year old college student who is home for the summer in New York State. Today, I was pulled over for going 52 in a 30, which is possibly a 6 point ticket. This is my first offense on my license. Because of that the officer told me to plea not guilty, and he said that if I was clean before now and the court date that he would get rid of the ticket. I have obtained my driving record from the my.dmv website, to possibly show the judge. I plan on mailing the plea to the court tomorrow.
I am new to this, however, and was wondering if there was anything else that I should do before the court date.
