What is the name of your state? Texas

My step brother was released last December after a year in prison. He was given 10 years parole. He hasn't done too well since being out, but I didn't know how bad until last week. He was arrested for harassment, taken to jail and bond was set at $5,000. I don't know if I am just calling the wrong people, or because I am only his step sister, or any other reason why I can't seem to find out much information. Now I can't even find out where he is located. The only things I have been able to find out are:

On Monday he was taken to court, and pled guilty. The judge sentenced him to 15 days in jail, time served, given a fine, and told to pay court costs. He is not in the jail that he was taken too after the arrest.

He is not at his home. I am trying to find out if he is in another jail. What happens to someone who is arrested and convicted when they are on felony parole? I hope someone can help.

Q: What happens to someone who is arrested and convicted when they are on felony parole?

A: They go to the state pen usually.

Thanks but...

Is their parole revoked and they are sent to prison immediately? My step brothers father and my mother have disowned him, along with his biological brothers and sisters. I'm just trying to find out where he is because I don't know if I need to tell his landlord that he is gone. The landlord already wants to know why he hasn't paid rent this month, and also wants his stuff moved out because he has been late in paying rent many times.

How can I find out when no one in the "system" will talk to me?

Call the department of corrections (or whatever it is called in Texas) and ask them how to contact this fellow.

Thanks...

Went to the first link that was given, and sent an email. I hope that I receive a reply. Thanks to everyone who has responded. I still don't know anything and am frustrated.

Found

Found my step brother today. I never received a response from the email that I sent. I guess because he wasn't located within the sytem. I went to his house this afternoon to see what might need to be done and he was there. He said that he has been partying since getting out of jail. He laughed about not being made to serve the full sentence he just received. He said that it looks like he won't be sent back to the pen for the felony parole violation. It looks like he is right.

I wish that he would get a clue; but the system has made it so easy for him to continue on a destructive path. I am the only person who still cares about him. All I've witnessed has been sad. He is a person who needs help. The state doesn't seem to want to help him, and he won't help himself. I guess the state would rather see him die on his own just so they won't have to deal with him.

I really don't know what to think anymore. When I left him, he was very wasted and saying that he could get away with anything. Again, I wish that he would get a clue and care enough about himself to straighten up...

My response:

What makes you think that the taxpayers want to pay for him when his destructiveness was self-induced? The taxpayers have better thinks to spend their LIMITED funds on, rather than your idiot step-brother.

Why are YOU bothering? Obviously, he doesn't care about you and your feelings.

You know, this old planet has more than 6 BILLION people on it. The herd needs a little thinning. Let it go. Let him go. Then pay for his funeral.
