I am from: Maryland
I have been renting this 3 bedroom townhome for 14 years now, and for 13 of the 14 years I have not been able to contact my landlords. I have tried to reach them by the telephone, and by certified mail, but to no avail! They stopped cashing my rent checks about 6 years ago so then I started sending them money orders to ensure that my rent was covered, but then things started to go up in the home such as the air conditioning, the heat, the roof, and the carpets needed to be replaced so I sent another certified letter to inform the landlords that I would be doing the repairs with the rent money, and that I would hold onto all reciepts for proof that the things were replaced, or fixed. Now there is a new roof, new wood floor in the living room new carpeting on the third floor, and I was starting on the carpeting on the main floor, and the basement when I received a letter from the landlord! After 13 years he wanted to set up a meeting with me so I did now he has informed me that he wants to sell the house, and I have to be out by March 1, 2006, or if he sells it sooner he will give me 2 weeks notice to leave the premises I always thought that you had to be given 30 day's notice to move. I can not afford a lawyer at this time as all my money is going towards trying to find a place to live so I could use any advice that anyone can give me! Thanks,
Barb

**A: what are you posting a new thread? You already posted a thread on this issue and you tend to twist the story around.

keep to your original thread repost this info to that. It will be brought forward if that is your angst. We do not like to have to give info to multiple threads okay?

Just cut and paste then come back and edit. delete this post.

Is that hard? You might just get some help, is that bad?

have a nice day. :)
