What is the name of your state?WA

My Step-daughter (15 years old) is planning on moving in with her real father (lives in San Francisco, CA) and he as told me that he is going to nail my income for Child Support instead of my Step-daughter's mom due to the amount of my income. Is this possible? If so, would a divorce between me and my wife prevent this from happening.

Currently my wife has physical custody of her today but with Joint custody between her and her ex-husband. I assume that he would have to file Sole or Physical custody once she (step-daughter) moves in with him full time.
Does anyone know if the Step-dad's income is subject to Child Support? The wife only works part time while the Step-dad works full time and makes more then her.

Thanks for answering this very difficult question.

He can't touch your income because you aren't financially responsible for your stepdaughter. Your wife, however, needs to pay her fair share and may need to work full time or at a higher paid position in order to pay what the judge determines is appropriate.
