I have been living at my condo for about 4 years with no problems. My maintenance fee went up once and I received notice and I started paying the increased fee.

In Jan. 09, my fee went up from 182 to 201 but I was never notified. I was paying 182 from Jan 09 through Sept 09. A new management company took over and I received a payment booklet stating the fee was 201 at the end of Sept 09.

Now my association is trying to make me pay the difference in the maintenance fee from Jan to Sept. which is 151. I told them that I was never notified of an increase until Sept. And also, they were cashing my checks for 182 from Jan to Sept and no one told me of an increase.

Is there anything I can do?

**A: yes, you can pay what they say you owe. And request copy of the Board meeting minutes approving the fee increase.
