I will be getting married in October 2001. I would like to keep my last name as well as take his last name, however, I do not want to hyphenate the two. What I would like to do is switch back and forth and be able to use them separately (my last name for business purposes, his last name for "family" events such as purchasing a new home). If this is possible, will I then need to obtain two separate driver's licenses to reflect the two separate last names? Thanking you in advance!

My response:

You can have a "Stage" name if you want, like any actor or actress.

However, you can have only ONE official, legal, name.

Pick one.
