My husband came here almost 5 years ago on a student visa which expires in January. He and I married in June of this year. We would like to adjust his status to perm. resident, however, I didn't make the required amounts to meet the affid. of support. We are doing fine financially NOW, but last year I was student so only made $6,000. How can we file? Do we have to use the I-485? Help??

Get your parents or someone else to 'co-sponsor' him. Form I-485a I think..
