My boyfriend is a Canadian Citizen and I am a US citizen. Both of our divorces will be final in December or January. I was married to a very abusive man and my boyfriend has been so very supportive. I was told that to get a fiancee visa..after our divorces are final...would take 6 months!! My question is would I be able to go to Canada after my divorce is final..marry him and both of us move to the states? If that is a possibility is there a waiting period? I really do need him here. Thank you.

If you marry him in Canada then you will have to file I-130 instead of the K-1. The I-130 can take 12 months..

Here is the answer to your prays..
