I got a ticket for speeding. Of course I was going the same speed as people around me but I got tagged. We were coming up to a toll so traffic was sleeping anyhow and brakes were already starting to be applied. The cop was very nice and after discussing it with him, he seemed like he was just going to give a warning. He came back with the ticket and explained the only reason he was giving me a ticket was because if what's in my back seat - my daughter. I don't have any tickets on my record and I'm a respectful driver who follows directions on all accounts. Is my daughter a viable reason for "why I'm giving you this ticket?"

In /Massachusetts that would be a yes. ;) You would likely get a child endangerment charge as well.
