Florida - 2nd request: If I make a statement about someone that approached me several years ago to commit a crime, which I declined, am I in any way liable or can I be charged for conspiracy?

Depends on several factors, including the following:
1) Has the SOL on the crime expired?
2) What EXACTLY, if anything, was your involvement?

Finally, depending on a full review of the facts, it could be possible for a claim of obstruction, concealing, etc. for your failure to inform the authorities of the potential criminal act.

knowledge

No involvement on my part at all. This occurred in 1992 and 2 people were arrested and convicted on robbery and felony murder. Now one of the individuals has contacted me to ask me to sign an affidavit that his codefendant had approached me prior to the crime.

don't get involved

And so you want to admint to being (somewhat) involved in a conspiracy to commit a felony and/or murder!?

Why would you ever want to do such a stupid thing? What was the maximum amount of time that someone is serving for this crime. Now ask yourself: are you willing to do that time yourself?

Do you really think that involving yourself will really convince a judge to reduce the sentence for the codefendant? It won't change the fact that a felony took place and a man died.
