michigan. given the following scenario:

person 1 intentionally rams in to person 2 who is on foot. person 2. subsequently knocks out the window of person 1s vehicle.

person 1 get's a felonious assault charge
person 2 get's a MDOP charge.

does either charge require the victim to press charges for the case to proceed to prosecution?

i.e. if person 1 decides to not press charges agains person 2 for breaking his window if person 2 agrees to not press charges agains person 1 for ramming into him can the prosecutor still proceed to press charges against either one?
