When you say "evicted" do you mean by court order or do you mean you got notice that your tenancy is terminated as of a certain date?
If the eviction has gone through the court and a Writ of Possession has been issued to the landlord, you have 10 days to file an appeal. When the 10 days are up the sheriff will serve the Writ on you and you'll have 72 hours to vacate. If you aren't out when the 72 hours are up, the sheriff will put you out on the street and allow the landlord to remove your belongings and change the locks.

If you have just been given a notice of termination as of a certain date you be out by that date, or you face eviction through the court, which is not something you want on your record.
