4 year old debt with Greenville Memorial Hospital. Under GEAR, my SC 2012 tax refund taken.

Since debt is over 4 years old, am I exempt from bank account seizure and or wage garnishment?

I remember SC having a special law allowing them to seize your tax return for medical debts to publically funded hospitals without a judgement.

I can attest that the seizing of SC refund without a judgment, trial very true. Just happened.

My concern is wage garnishment and bank accounts.

On judgements, where can I research them in South Carolina? This GEAR program has me confused and worried. I was never given a bill by this hospital but that didn't keep them from seizing refund.
