If you order your medical records from a doctor because you are going to seek a second opinion and your doctor's office says they can not find your records or your name in their computer, can you seek legal action?

Dear Candy;

Most states now have laws allowing patients to access their medical records. If your physician has refused, or made excuses such as "he can't find them," more than likely he has something to hide.

Contact your states board of medical examiners and file a complaint. I guarentee you, you will get your records.
