What is the name of your state? KY

In my Chapter 13 Meeting of Creditors the Judge said the mortgage may be invalid due to the mortgage not being properly notorarized. If the court finds the mortgage invalid, where does that put me?

**A: either this is going to be very complicated or very simple. Regardless, in a BK 13, the mortgage is generally left intact or reaffirmed. Is the mortgage recorded on title? There are a lot more facts and you have not told the complete story.

This is an off-handed comment by a bankruptcy judge who has no knowledge of title law.
