The social service worker has said that she is going to suggest that we get a mental capacity test done for my father, and then guardionship would be the next step.
First of all, he has good days and bad days (20%) at times bad. I told her my father does not want to be subjected to these tests. His attorney said it is not needed because nothing of his is to be sold, I pay the bills and have POA over medical.
Can they physically come in and make him do these tests. My cousin is a nurse at the hospital, she said she has never seen anyone pass these tests, because these people try to justify their jobs.
This is the same social worker that had a report that my dad likes to go to the bar once a week. She said that she has found that he is being well taken care of and the complaint is unfounded, but wanted to let me know that if I try for guardionship that the complaint will be in there. I said it is unfounded so that is a non-issue. Besides we have all of his ducks in a row, between his attorney, accountant and myself.
She said she will talk to him one more time to close the case. Does my father tell her then he is not going to go for the tests, or should we wait until we recieve this letter with dates and times for a mental capacity test?
