My friend,a 32 yr. old female, recently went to the emergency room for pains in her lower side to her back. X-rays were ordered and after they were taken the technician told my friend that she left something with metal on cause it was showing up on the x-ray. Well my friend looked over her body and found no metal or metal objects on her body but the doctor came in and showed her on the x-ray were the metal was and sure enough there it was as obvious as daylight. She went to her doctor and they are sending her to another doctor .It is believed that the metal was somehow left in her body after either her c section or tubal ligation, which was 2 1/2 years ago, seeing as she has had no other types of surgery beside those. What should she do to document all of this and does she have a case of malpractice?
