What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

Hi; Person A has a patent ( I think) on a product that can be made into a large multitude of shapes and various designs. If person B were to purchase this product, and make the various shapes and designs, and photograph them, print the photos, mat them, frame them, or not, and sell them for a profit, what are the legal ramifications of doing this?

I hoope I have explained this well enough. How can I find out if there is a patent on the product? Thank You. Mike Stauffer

It's a little hard to understand your question, but generally a patent wouldn't extend to photographs of an invention -- a copyright or trademark potentially could limit the ability to commercially photograph an invention, but the answer to these questions would be very fact-specific and require and analysis of the product and any IP rights someone may have in the product.

As far as determining whether a particular product is patented, you would either need to contact the creator and ask, or search the USPTO database.
