What is the name of your state? Nevada

I own 50% of a business with a US partner. We purchased that business as of Sept 1st and I have been coming in and out of the USA to check on it. My presence is now required on a daily basis for the management of the operations.

I have checked with a few lawyers, and they all agree I should apply for an E2 Treaty Investor Visa. However, one lawyer told me that if the amount invested is inferior to $75,000, I will have no case. He said there are law cases (or precedents) about this.

I invested $27,000 out of the $32,000 asked for the purchase of the business, and can prove it. From what I read on different law sites, it says a "substantial amount of money" is required.

Do I have a case ? Is it even worth filing ? Please help...

Substantial is a relative term and it all depends on the type of business it is and what the business plan calls for. The amount of money you invested may be sufficient but it is not possible to know without knowing all the other particulars about your business and situation.
