What is the name of your state? tx

What is the current minimum wage? I thought it was 5.25, but everything I have found on the net says 5.15. I could have sworn it went up to 5.25. My husband thought it went up higher than that.

does anyone know which it is?

damn, that means i am looking at a huge reduction in support if he chooses to stick around(not that it matters since I dont get it anyway) but my support order could go down from 230.00 a month to less than a hundred at minimum wage, which is what he has done for the last several years becaue two of his children get ssdi and so all his bills get paid. he can afford to barely just get by because they don't want have to pay to help support our daughter....

Just a small FYI, some states have their own minimum wage. Texas is not one of them, they follow federal as stated before.

Just want you to know that I am in Texas & my new wife just went to court thru attorney general trying to get a cs order for her son. She has 1 child and her ex does not work. They calculated the support at min-wage, but the monthly support awarded was $160.00. I do not know how they arrive at this amount but on her court documents, under his income they wrote in min-wage and the order was set at $160.00 month support, $80.00 additional health ins reimbursement & $35.00 additional for arrerages, coming to a total of $275.00. Just wanted you to know that it may not be less than a hundred. There must be a minimum amount that they use, I guess. But that was our experience, and that was less than a month ago.

I appreciate the info and the reason I know it may be at a hundred or less is because he has three other children to take care of besides my daughter...these children all live with him so he gets 2% reduction in his support for every dependent.

I appreciate the info though.

Thanks!
