What is the name of your state? new hampshire
i am a resident of michigan, but recently went to court in new hampshire with my ex. new hampshire has jurisdiction over our case. i will try to keep this short. my ex took me to court to have the court order changed because he could no longer abide by it because he took on new job. I have a full time job and part time job that work around the court ordered pickup and drop off day that was set for his visit with our children. I provided the court with proof of my employement and a finacial afidavit showing that if the court changed the order to suit his scedule how it would effect my living situation if i had to give up my part time job. The court granted him with the change and left me to lose income(i am the custodial parent) i later found out that the judge who appointed the martial master to judge our case is my husbands lawyer. we feel this is some sort of conflict of interest and feel that we were not fairly treated in this case. I asked the court to transfer it to antoher court away from my exs lawyer and they refused to let another judge review there decision. i need to know that my options are at this pointWhat is the name of your state?

Judges do practice law but he cannot still be your ex's attorney AND the presiding judge. he also did not rule on the case from the sounds of things -- he appointed someone else to do so. The time to ask the judge to recuse himself was BEFORE any judgment was made.

and even if he was your husband's attorney during the divorce and custody hearing, this is a modification which is a new hearing. There is no conflict.
