My ex-wife filed bankrup. on 3 accounts that had my name on them. I paid off each account but they still showed up on my credit report as being part of a bankrup. I wrote letters to all 3 CRA's that stated these accounts were part of a bankruptcy filed by my ex-wife and that I had paid off each account. I had a friend who works at my bank run a credit check on me about a month after I sent the letters and all 3 CRA's had the letter posted to each account, that was about a year ago. Recently I had that same friend run my credit report and found that only 1 CRA still had the letter attached and that is only on 2 of the 3 accounts. Do I need to submit this letter to each CRA on a yearly or bi-yearly basis?

I would have assumed that once noted, it would remain for the duration of that record. Guess not.

Go ahead and resend annually.
