Hello Everybody. I was wondering if anyone could answer my question. I received a Fail on my start test yesterday morning, so the device locked me out for 5 minutes and I used that time to quickly wash my mouth out with water. After the 5 minutes were up, I blew into it again and I passed it! So even though I didn't trigger a violation, I called Monitech for comfort and they told me that the DMV could still see my first initial fail and they could take action if they wanted to..? But I do not understand this because I literally passed the re-test 5 minutes later so clearly this was caused by contaminants and I hadn't been drinking. Somebody please tell me if they think I am okay or not? I get my device out in a little over 3 weeks so I'm scared out of my wits right now.
Thank you so much!

All failures will send out alerts to the monitoring center but no one here can tell you what will happen after your initial fail. Possibly nothing, if a restart after 5 minutes was successful. The ignition interlock sensors can sometimes be fussy and false-positives are not uncommon.
