What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Georgia
We filed a temporary guardianship for my 6 month old niece. We knew the last address of her biological parents, so we gave it to probate, they filed. Sheriff's dept has tried to notify. The parents are not there and they cannot be served. The probate tells us that they can not allow us to run notice in the paper and let it run for 10 days because they have not been served. Geez, they are now somewhere in TN. Because they are running form the police. My nephew for probation violation, and now the mother, age 16 did not show up last Fri for court date. My family has the baby. The parents wanting to parents for a week, came down, with friends, they have no car and took Annslee for a week. We have her again. OH it gets worse. My mother, who I think had lost her hillbilly mind does not want us to file for emergency custody because this would cause my nephew her grandson, to go to jail, where his sorry ass belongs, I might add. Look folks if these tWo drug addicts want to straighten out their lives, get an education and be good parents, I am ready to support that notion. However, I see no movement in that direction. My sister and I are providing for this baby. We want a stable environment, with health and dental which we will provide. Can you tell me what to do? Is this BS about not being able to get the temporary through because they can't find them to serve them true?
