What is the name of your state?Florida
The mortgage company has filed for foreclosure, but acknowledged that the title never got recorded and the mortgage was lost/destroyed somehow. They never formally notified me of default and sold my mortgage to another lender without notifying me (I found out when I got served by the court about the new mortgage co).To top it off, they attempted to record the note in another county that I've never heard of.Has anyone else heard/dealt with this before? Any chance I could benefit from their mistakes?

Your case is much too complicated to try to get info off an internet forum.

You need a good real estate attorney where the property is located.

BTW, the mortgage company does not need to notify you or ask your permission to sell the loan. Obviously, they have to tell you they have sold it so you will know where to send the payments.

This business, however, about losing the mortgage sounds pretty fishy.
