I live in Ohio. We filed bankruptcy on Sept 21. We are now just a few days over the 60 day late mark on our mortgage. We have no equity. We intend to have our mortgage payment current by our 341 meeting on Oct. 24th. Today I received a notice of motion for relief of stay and abadonment from the mortgage company. I cannot lose my house. I am absolutely terrified. I called the lawyer right away, but she was out. Her secretary said that when the lawyer came back, she ( the lawyer) would call and let them know that we would be caught up shortly. Could someone please tell me the process of the relief from stay? Can they refuse to let us get caught up? I have not been in contact with them since we received a default notice. I didn't think there would be a problem. Thanks for any help!
