What is the name of your state? Texas

I am in a very uncomfortable situation. We bought two homes two years ago, lost them both to foreclosure. I have now received a letter from the PMI carriers (Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corp.) attorneys to collect the deficiency. Other than these two home loans, we pay all of our debt. It had simply become impossible to carry the homes any longer and to continue carrying them would have required even great credit card debt. So we bit the bullet and let them go back. We have been aggressively paying our debt down ever since. We need some guidance here to figure out our best plan of action and to get an idea of what we can expect. Can you please give me an idea as to what I can expect and what the scenarios are upon us.
