Mortgage responsibility after divorce

I have been divorced for 5 years. Prior to my divorce, my ex-husband and I purchased a mobile home. In the divorce decree he was granted possession of the home. I would like to get my name off his mortgage. He is not financially responsible and I do not want him ruining my credit. However, his mortgage company said he would have to refinance. The problem is he as done "work" on the mobile and it is no longer worth what he has in the mortgage. How can I clear my name? He is willing to cooperate. Thank you,

You already have your answer. He will need to refinance. What he can get for the trailer is between you, him and the finance company.
