What is the name of your state? KY
My mother is 75 years old and has sold her house to live with me...she hasnt filed taxes for over 10 years....does she need to file income taxes after the sale...its around $60,000...............

**A: no, provided she gets the cash in unmarked bills in large brown paper bags and the Seller and escrow do not file a 1099 with the IRS.
