Thanks everyone for graciously taking time out of their busy days to give some advice to someone who needs help. I will try and get as many definitive answers as possible and possibly get her to get on here herself, as that would probably be the best way to move forward.

It's great to see there are still some kind and helpful people around. Again, thanks a million!

When did the break up happen? How old were the kids? When did she sign this definitive documentation? When was the last time she had contact with the kids? How old were they? How old are the kids now?

What does this definitive documentation say?
Why did she sign it?

The breakup happened around mid July 2007 as she was kicked out of their house in Palm Beach as he said she was "crazy" which is utterly mad in itself judging from the current state of affairs. He is apparently prancing around town with a new girlfriend who is taking care of this woman's children whom he won't let her see. He is brainwashing their young minds into saying that their mommy left them and she doesn't care, etc. making her look like an unfit mother. On top of all this, she has taken the advice of a horrible lawyer by basically "staying out of sight" which I would imagine is the worse thing to do being that the husband is accusing the wife is being insane therefore it's logically that she does things in a responsible fashion and stays clear of any incidents.

The bottom line at this stage is this. This poor woman has been torched in the following fashion and I have seen it for my own eyes and I know a good woman when I see it and how empty she is when her own flesh and blood are taken from her.

She is crushed so she needs somebody to help her out and this guy is pretty wealthy and comes from very wealthy background as well so you could imagine how scared she is on all levels of this horrid situation. I told her to draft a letter and effectively terminate her current lawyer and ignore signing a so called settlement of $100,000 WITHOUT the right of seeing her children. I've never heard of such a thing. She is looking for an honest professional who is willing to work on the basis of percentage as she has absolutely no key money whatsoever.

Any help or suggestions regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated as this is really an outrageous injustice that needs to be dealt with properly to insure that wrong prevails over wrong. Somebody please help. Thanks in advance....

I know a good woman and deserving All American woman when I see it and the emptiness she is feeling when her own flesh and blood are taken from her. What kind of country is the United States when something like this injustice can happen? Unbelievable and sad what this World has come to.

I am not expert legal advice, and I would wait for that too,
it would be good if she got on here herself, it would show some commitment...anyway,its clear mom is bowed down by dad...and she needs to find a way to overcome that, not for her just but for her kids sake. Its a horrible message to send them that their mom has no power. And she did, but she gave it away.

My suggestion to mom is this, grow up a bit, go to court and request significant visitation time. Tell the court you allowed ex to coerce you, and you caved in. Stop fretting about his money, that is not what courts usually look at in determining a fit parent.

If friend is really up for parenting, she will do this for her kids. If she cannot, then she doesn't really want to do it.

Answers regarding the time that has gone by****************************

He wrote that far in his book and now needs help continuing.

I agree, this situation has gone on a long time and absolutely no attempt to move forward by her as been made as:

a) she is trying to make a living and pay her bills and;

b) she is totally destroyed by this whole situation and is mentally unable to handle any of the required procedures needed to be accomplished at this critical juncture because she has never been in this type of situation before and for all intensive purposes, she is paralyzed. It's easy for any of us to say why did you let so much time go by or whatever, but she is dealing with this her own way and that is essentially inaction and non proactive. I told her that is the worse thing she could do at this point as her soon to be ex husband is certainly counting on this along with his team of very skilled lawyers.

But I believe there is still time for her to get some sort of court induced order to enable her to be with her children and provide them with the proper nurturing and love they deserve from their biological mother. There is not time for, "You should have" or "Why didn't you do something earlier", etc. - Now is the time to find somebody willing to take this mess on and help a good woman be reunited with HER children. Is there nobody out there willing to lend a hand to woman in distress that really needs some brilliant and tenacious professional legal help and advice. I guess I'm posting in the wrong forum.

Thanks for all your help and any suggestions on how to proceed methodically and professional would be greatly appreciated.

He-He there was an earlier thread from this OP today...That thread referred to this threadfor background. OP still presented as the friend. Answered that person back stating the situation needed to be addressed by a face to face with an attorney rather than the forum IMO. Then the poster got on and said they were really the Mom. So I told the OP again I thought the situation would be handled better by a face to face with an attorney.

Haven't checked to see where today's new thread went...looks like this perhaps fledgling author dredged up the old one in hopes of getting some research answered.

Gotta give it to he/she for their tenacity!
