What is the name of your state? Canada, Ontario

Im shooting a Short flick and i would like to use a local Store to film in(the store sceen is at most 5 min long) and i want to know if i have to get permission from the product companies to beable to show it on film( like lays potato chips or any other thing that might be in the store) or does the store owner own the the instore stuff so i would only need his permission to film?

this is also a very low budget flick.

The individual products, if not used independently in the film (i.e., as a 'store' background) are fine as long as you have the store owner's permission. In fact, if you shoot on 5th Avenue in New York and just happen to catch a few signs in the background, you don't have to have every store owner's permission.

And since this is a U.S. law site, but at least you were upfront about where you're from, I answered. Of course, the answer ONLY applies to the U.S.
