I'm from Sheboygan, Wi. Back in '94 I moved about 190 miles away from my ex-husband to perchace a small business and wanted to take ower son with me. I went through the proper prosedeguers and went to a mediator and a new order was drawn up and somethings that were stated was that once a month I was to bring my son to his Dad for visitation and my ex- gets him for the month of July.
Well, in '96 I moved back to Sheboygan, 'cause the business did not work out. But since then the order never got changed.
Now, my question is: We want to move back to around the same place we had the business within the next year or so, so will I have to go through what I did the first time I wanted to move? Even though nothing was changed to the order since? I know this will not be approved to my ex-husband.
Really would like to know. Thanks for ay input.

My response:

Yes, you need permission, once again, to take your son anywhere from where he currently resides. Father has every right to know where his child is at all times, and to make new arguments against the new move-away.
