Hi,
I'm an 18 year old student and live with my parents. However, I will be leaving my family's house covertly, as I can no longer handle my stepfather. My biggest concern is this: I have a car which I've paid for, and proof that I've paid for it with bank records and a bill of sale. However, my parents put the car in their name without my consent. They told me later they had to so I could get cheaper insurance (through theirs with me listed as a driver) So, technically, they "own" the car. It hadn't really bothered me until this developement. More than likely they will try to take the car out of spite. What, if anything, can I do? Do I even have a case at all, or have I already lost access to the car based on their actions? If it helps in any way, I live in Alaska.
Thank you very, very much for taking the time to answer this for me...
Matt
