What is the name of your state? Ohio
Has anyone ever had a run in with Mr. Money finance? We are less than a month behind and they have called my cell phone at least twice a day since the due date, sent a letter EVERY day this week, and even had someone come to my house! Would a cease and desist letter do any good if they are not the collection agency but the loan originators?

Not really, they're not bound by the FDCPA.

The are obviously very aggressive, even sending someone to your house.. good grief. If they return in person, you can call the cops if they get nasty.

Have you talked to them ? Explained why you're behind and when they'll get paid ?

I haven't tried to talk to them, other than the guy who came to our house. His excuse was to hand deliver a letter telling us to call them. I just said ok and let it go at that..didn't tell him anything or ask him anything. We are getting ready to file Chapter 7, but I'm not going to talk to them until the automatic stay is in place. If they come back, I will tell them to get off my property. Kind of creepy to have someone show up like that..and me not even a month late with their payment! geez!
