What is the name of your state? CA

Hey all, I have been reading alot about music management and it states in all the articles that I read that music artist managers are not allowed to "procure" deals for an artist. The law states that only an agent can do that. What I am trying to find out is, what is the exact definition of a music manager, because I have a client that wants me to rep him, but my main job is to bring him deals and unfortunately I am not an agent. So right now I am just trying to due some due diligence.

Thanks for the help.

You seem to be asking alot of music related questions -- a field you seem extremely unknowledgable and uneducated in.

What you really need to do is go to a lawyer who specializes in what you want to do (music/entertainment laws/public performance, etc). You are not going to get all of the answers you MUST HAVE from anyone on this forum.
