What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

The office manager called me to say that they need to have a copy of the lease for my renters. This was after a neighbor (who is also a board member) made gossip to the office manager about who was living there now (yes, nosey people we have here). I read the declaration, bylaws, and condominium instruments and there is nowhere written about the necessity of sending a copied lease for the office to keep. It only states that the association dues must continue to be paid upon transferance of property, limit to three renters per household, and lease must state that tenants will comply with the bylaws.

I want to avoid making copies at all possible so that I maintain my renters' right to privacy (they are also muslim). Thanks.

**A: ask for a copy of the approved document that requires this.

I am curious.

What "private" information is there in the lease that you couldn't redact?
