What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

My dad died and left me his car but I can not find the title how to get it transferred to my name in ca?

Start by reading the following DMV page on inherited vehicles:

Then gather up as much of that documentation as you can and go to the DMV office where they will tell you what you have to do next.
