We live in Texas. My daughter's boyfriend is in jail for drugs, 3rd. time. She and the 2 g-children live with us. We would like to adopt them with her consent. I know he will not give consent. How or can we do this? If not will a will stand up in court with her requesting us to have custody of the children if anything happens to her? Childrens age: 2 yrs. and 9 months old. Do we have any legal rights at all? Out of a 4 year realationship they (including mother) have lived with us for 3 1/2 years. Thank U-Pat
