What is the name of your state?Texas

At my final divorce hearing, I was told to bring all documentation of spousal and child abuse for admittance. When I presented it before the judge, my attorney hushed me and told me to put it away. Now I am having severe problems, my abusive husband is demanding full custody of my children. (Because he didn't pay child support, I had to come to Utah to have my parents help out as well as a family emergency with my grandmother who I am helping.) So this man is taking me to court because I am in economic hardship, and he is fighting to get custody of my children. I was told I can't bring up any abuse that happened before the divorce, although there is enough that happened after the divorce. There is a CPS record of abuse and neglect on my spouse, but NOW, my PRESENT attorney who is a different person, is telling me to hand the children over to him!!!! WHAT DO I DO??? My children are in danger!!! Do I talk over my attorney and tell the judge the man is abusive, a porn addict (he has had counseling for that and anger management) and he has shown no change in demeanor. I need advice by Friday, Sept. 2nd!

Why is your attorney telling you to hand them over? Did you leave the state without proper notification and approval?

My question is the same. Did you go through proper procedures to notify him and/or the court that you were moving to Utah? Does he have court ordered visitation that has been denied since you moved to Utah?
