What is the name of your state?NJ,Hello,I havent posted a question in awhile but I filed on the 9th of august chapter 7, the lawyer said it would be about a month until my hearing. I kind of knew that from all the great information on this site, thanks to all of you who have helped me with my questions throughout all of this,my question is--- I filed seperate because the debts are all only mine, credit card debts and medical, I noticed that on the shedule it states I have 100.00 in clothing, I didnt notice that in the lawyers office, should I bring this up when Im asked by the trustee? I know the clothes are worth more, not that I have great stuff but what I mean is Im sure the amounts probably a little closer to 500.00, thats a guess of course, but what Im asking is does it matter, should I say it or leave it? I feel like Im lying if they ask me and I dont bring it up but yet I feel dumb bringing it up if its not a big deal either way, cause I read on here that its best just to answer yes or no. Also one other question is I have bought things in the past several months, like small things, clothing with money, do I say that? Im very nervous about the 341 meeting, as you can tell I guess, its just I want to be telling all the truth ,Im worried I will look like Im lying if I dont bring up everything that may be important.Should I only answer what the trustee asks me and not elaborate unless Im asked? I recieved my papers in the mail yesterday telling me my meeting will be sept. 8, I still have to go get a id because I do not drive and the id I have is not allowed, thank-you everyone, janice

Janice don't get to upset about your creditors meeting. Most of them never show up. If you just answer yes or no honestly you want have any problems. Chances are you will probably only be with the trustee, maybe 5 minutes. Your attorney will be with you.

Indiana I went to my 341 meeting on june 22. I went in the room early and observed the other's ahead of me I could not believe how easy it was then it was my turn I sat in front of the trustee a total of three minutes. Ove r and done with I only answered what she asked Idid not add anything. I do not know how it is in other state's but here it was just too easy. They did not check on anything I told my lawyer and I know the lawyer did not research any of it because I brought in paperwork in the 2nd meeting and they said it was not necessary that they believed me.
