have a customer who wants proof of where i buy produt from and my sourse who i buy from is out of territory and by exposing him could cost him his job or franchise of product and i gave him my word never to expose him. all business with him has been done thru personel payment methods and not thru my employer. what right do i have and can i not expose sourse and not get fired for honering my word. if i broke my word am i breaking a verbal contract?

Unless you are under court order to reveal your source, tell the customer to pound sand. Of course, you will probably lose him as a customer.
