IAAL responded to my brother's issue before regarding the verbal agreement and the artificial insemenation. My 2nd part to my original question is this: My brother was just told there is a possibility the child may not be his after all and the mother may have placed his name on the b/c to keep anyone else from
wondering who the father was. Can he move forward with placing a complaint against her and requesting a paternity test or can we guess his stupidity negates any rights he may have and she can do whatever she wants because she's the mother? He lives in New Jersey.

Since I do not know the details since you have no other thread open on this issue.. then I will tell you generally that he can request a paternity test to establish whether the child is his.
