Please help. I was born to a single mom who later married the man I knew to be my father. Instead of adopting me, he simply had me baptized using his last name. I only recently found this out. I have always used my baptism certificate for everything (drivers license, marriage license, school registration, and on my kids birth certificates). Last time I renewed my drivers license they told me that from now on I had to have my birth certificate. Now I have a problem as my BC has my maiden name as my mothers maiden name. Am I going to have to change the name on my drivers license, social security card, etc.?
Am I going to have to redo my kids BC's? Is my marriage license and certificate ok?
