NY How many times can a trial be postponed, if you were arrested 1yr ago for a violation, harrassment, discovery was turned in, only a statement, nothing else, DA continues to ask for us to accept her offer, has continued to postpone all dates within one/two days before scheduled date, this time trial scheduled for 12/21/06 with jury notices sent out now she says her witness is not available. Original date was for early July 06, rescheduled to 8/28/06 then cancelled by judge as it was his anniversary,rescheduled for hearing 9/21/06 nothing that date either, next date 11/14/06 hearing to see it anything from past brought up, answer NO, trial date 11/21/06, but no jury notices sent out so Judge set 12/21/06, today she, DA, says witness unable to be there, his son has a school function and wants to be there. Are my rights being violated for a speedy trial.
