Hello.. My neice was placed in the foster care
system in IL. She has been in the system for 16 months
now. My hubby and I have had her living with us for
the last 14 of those months. We live in NC.
Anyway we are planning and hoping to soon adopt her.
The Social Services in IL has already had the case
reviwe and decided to TPR. The court date has already
been set as well and is very fastly upon us. (less
then 2 weeks).
What I need to know.. now that the case review is
over and they decided to strip all rights. Can my sister
do anything to stop it? She is the reason the rights
are being striped and has done nothing to try and
get her daughter back this far.
If and when she finds out about the hearing.. can
she stop them from stripping her rights.. or is it
too late.
Thanks for all replies.
