What is the name of your state? Texas
My husband was physically assualted by 6 men Sunday morning. After making our way to the police down the street they took his onformation and 3 police officers had my husband sit on the back of a police van with in 5 feet of a ems truck while we waited for 45 minutes with no help at all. My husband was bleeding from him face (facial cut above his eye) and I continued to request help. After 45minutes they told me to take him to the hospital.....when I could have done that 45 minutes earlier. I feel that this was a failure to render aid. I already made a complaint through EMS and they did research why he was not helped and the man doing the research stated it was "human error".....the police communication to the ems communication (the ems person felt it ws police error). I am in the process of filing a compliant through Austin Police Department. My husband is 24 and Hispanic..this can be racial and age related. I need advice on if this is something we can take to a court. Thank you

Public officials owe a duty in general to citizens; they do not owe a specific duty to any one person.

Your husband was obviously not very seriously injured or you would have gone to a hospital first and then to the cops.

According to your own words, you have no case.
