What is the name of your state? Virginia

My divorce has been final for two years. When we filed for divorce, I agreed to pay 1/3 of my childrens' college education. What are the chances that the courts will overturn this if I try to change this or fight it?

I don't want to spend a large sum of money, unless I feel I have a good chance of getting this overturned

Is it written into the order or a separate agreement and if separate, is it written into a contract between the two of you?

Uh, then why the hell did you agree to pay 1/3 of it??????????? That was pretty stupid if you can't afford it.

At the time, I would have done almost anything to get out of the relationship. When you go through a divorce, sometimes you don't think straight.

I asked you a question. If you don't feel the issue is important enough to answer it then neither do I.

All of which is no excuse, time to live with your voluntary choices.

I dont ever think parents should beforced to pay for college costs. BUT you AGREED to pay for college when its likely that your state did not require this. So you're gonna pay for it. Bad decision.
