My response:

You're learning Deefran.

After more than a year on these boards, LegalBeagle, myself, and a host of others, have hides as thick as an elephant (although, LB is beginning to look like one).

You should have been here last year ! All this stuff you've been reading lately is kid stuff by comparison.

(Oh, for the good ol' days - - good times, good times)

You know, I would attend more if you lot would actually buy some cookies and proper coffee instead of that strong Mexican stuff.. and where were the lap dancers as promised by Mary???

Anyway, after today, I am more than happy to take all the flak.. bring it on people!!

My response: on behalf of Mary (who is on a well-deserved vacation), I must apologize for the no-show and nolo contendere lap dancers from Tampa.
It appears that Angelina and her stage girls were afraid of getting arrested due to the 6 foot rule. By the time they realized that the rule did not apply in California, they were already on their way to New Orleans for the opening of the Association for Trial Lawyers of America summer convention.
Imagine the opening remarks: Hooters and motion to compel binding arbitration and G-strings and intellectual property law. Start the music.

I stand corrected, sorry legal beagle. all I know is I wanted to know a term, and all I got was people acting simple. IAAl-telling me in may-go check the boards that I should not be nice to my husband and go file for show of cause, then later telling me I should go to the back of the bus. I think I will just go to law library
and yes at least I speak proper english in Virgina and read for myself to better educate myself about what I am going through.

Trishajack...maybe while you are in court you should file a motion of abandonment..against your sense of humor.

IAAL answered your question... Apart from a few words, all court business is done in English. This will of course change in CA, FL & TX to Spanish in the year 2007.

The statement about the back of the bus had more to do with a romantic rendezvous. IAAL is old and horny.

The comment about speaking English was directed to the judges, not the common people in VA. We all know that Virginians speak perfectly good English through their tooth.

As for acting simple, unfortunately HomeGuru has been that way for many years and it is no longer an 'act'.

The law library is an excellent idea and I wish you well..
