My husband was arrested for Dui in Littleton Colorado about two years ago. He went to his first court appearance and was granted a continuence. He travels extensively for his job and did not make it back to court. His license has been suspended for the past two years. Of course this is hanging over his head and causing many problems in his professional and our personal life. What does he need to do to go about clearing the matter up? I am going to contact a lawyer in the district of his arrest..is this the right action to take? This is his second dui arrest, the first one was in '94 in Ky. He served time in jail and after a suspension period was allowed to attain his license again. Thanks..

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

BY contacting a lawyer, you are doing the responsible thing. Why? Because only a criminal defense attorney experienced with DUI convictions, defense and expungement can help your spouse help himself.

I suggest you get all the relevant paperwork together before your meeting, to save time, worry, money and unnecessary hassle.
