What is the name of your state?CT

I was an authorized user of 3 credit cards in my ex-boyfriends name. After we broke up he told me took me off the cards. He didn't...then got into major debt. I asked him to take me off because he was ruining my credit he said they won't unil there is a zero balance on the cards. All 3 cards are being paid by a debt consolidation co. Two are closed one is still open. Is their anything I can to do to get my name off. None of the purchases were made by me.

Are you an authorized user or a joint cardholder? If you are sure you were only an AU, he lied to you. I know of no creditor that won't take off an AU--they are not responsible for payment.

Send a dispute to the credit bureaus stating it is not yours. Send it certified mail return receipt.
